Pediatric Nature-Based Occupational Therapy
Maryville, TN
Therapy the way childhood was meant to be — outside!
Individualized, Nature-Based OT specializing in primitive reflex integration, sensory processing, and developmental support for ages 0-12
Grounded in Science. Grown in Nature.
We do things differently here…
"Navigating your child's challenges is a deeply personal journey — and often an emotional one. We don't just treat your child; we walk alongside your whole family with care that is as individualized as they are. No two kids are the same, and at Wild Roots OT, no two treatment plans are either."
Relational, strengths-based care
We lead with what your child can do, not what they can't
Gentle and supportive
Your therapist meets you with warmth, not judgment
Whole-family approach
Practical tools so growth continues at home, not just in sessions
Private pay
No insurance red tape — just focused care with evidence-based best practice
Evidence-Based Care Partnered with Nature
Primitive Reflex Integration
Retained reflexes from infancy can disrupt attention, coordination, emotional regulation, and learning. We assess and integrate these reflexes to unlock your child's full potential.
Sensory Integration
When a child's nervous system struggles to process sensory input, daily life becomes overwhelming. We use evidence-based sensory strategies in natural environments to build regulation from the ground up.
Developmental Support
From fine motor skills and handwriting to social-emotional development and milestone attainment — we meet your child exactly where they are and build a clear path forward
Our Approach:
Grounded in Science. Grown in Nature.
Hundreds of studies confirm that natural environments restore attention, reduce stress, and accelerate skill development in children. We build that into every session.
Connection first
A strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of all progress. We take time to know your child before we ask them to grow.
Caregiver partnership
You know your child best. We train and equip you with strategies so therapy extends far beyond our sessions together.
Real environments
Skills learned outdoors transfer more readily to daily life than skills learned in a clinic. Nature is our classroom and our tool.
Evidence-based methods
Primitive reflex integration, sensory integration theory, and neurodevelopmental frameworks underpin everything we do.

Owner & Lead Occupational Therapist
Hey There!
I created Wild Roots OT because I wanted believe that your family deserves care that supports you in way that feels natural, relational, and fun!
I'm certified in the ConTiGo Approach™ — the gold standard in nature-based pediatric OT — and specialize in primitive reflex integration, sensory processing, and developmental support.
My husband and I traded life in Florida for the foothills of the Smokies to raise our son in the woods, and watching him thrive in nature confirmed everything I already knew professionally: the outdoors isn't just a setting for therapy. It's one of the most powerful therapeutic tools we have!
My Christian faith shapes the way I show up — with gentleness, humility, and genuine care for every family I serve. Faith-based elements are always welcome for families who share this foundation.
